Beer Pieterjan Prakken

Beer Prakken is a PhD candidate in philosophy at the University of Groningen, Guest Researcher at Utrecht University and Predoctoral Fellow at Center for Cultural Sociology at Yale University. By combining qualitative, quantitative and philosophical methodologies, Beer researches the intersection of play, humor, culture and politics. He focuses on the use of humor by populist politicians and how political subjects interpret it. His research has appeared in prominent Dutch media outlets such as Volkskrant and Trouw.
